As a swan song tribute to the late great contributor to TPO alanb_ct, we present one of our favorite of his inventions. This stonefly is simple yet deadly and can be used for a variety of anchor type applications in Euro Nymphing rigs. Enjoy it and much praise and credit thrown towards our old friend Alain.

yes you are correct. I did use your improperly. Sorry it wasn’t supposed to be directed at you anyways. There was a comment on here about your weaving not being perfect. That is whom i was speaking towards. I think your videos are great and very useful for people. You tie fish catching patterns and not fisherman catching patterns. Keep up the great work and Tight Ties. Sorry for the mix up.

Fair enough. No worries buddy. Just don’t like the haters on youtube that surf around looking for people to insult. I’m glad you like everything, enjoy the flies.

Thanks for this! I was trying to adapt a woolly bugger to a newt pattern. By weaving brown and orange and using orange and brown deer hair for the head with a couple of rubber legs, the pattern came out pretty good! I appreciate your time in doing these videos.
