Fished boobie style flies in the states for quite a few years although I usually use more floating dragon, strawman or tadpole patterns.

“We call it a Booby for our friend, Dolly Parton”. Bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Mr. Camiss just slid that one right by me! I love these videos and my flies are much the better for them. I had to go back and replay that part to be sure I’d heard right. Priceless!

I live in Louisville, KY Dave and I am very excited about learning how to tie flys. My dad and I are going to learn soon – but you have given me a great start. You are a GREAT teacher. Thank you so much for all the information.

Hi
Happy New Year
I have been collecting and scrounging fur and feathers for 60 yrs. and have quite a collection. Many can be found whilst fishing. another source is find a friend who shoots for the pot. Some you will have to buy! If you buy a book with fly patterns you will get an idea of what to look for.

Hi,
Another name for booby tube is called Plastazote Pills. You can buy these from Steve Parton’s fishing tackle, check my own website for the link to his site.
