Lil’ Maple clears the trail of Bovines as the Humblefisherman explores a long forgotten valley in Southwestern Alberta. Fly Fishing on a beautiful summer day, fish are caught on nymphs, dry flies, and streamers. A beautiful setting for fishing, and well worth the effort.

@coolhud
i guided off and on for the last 12 years, but have been putting all my time to this series for the last 3. We are opening a guiding division of “the Humblefisherman” in spring of 2011. I’ll post the link when the page is done. Thanks for your interest

@Rymo780 we did indeed film on the Ram River last year. I have edited and posted the heli ride and first day of fishing in two seperate movies. Watch the fly fishing the Black Shales to see what happens. Watch for part 3 and 4 to come out sometime this summer.

@humblefisherman Sweet! Sorry for multiple posts, my internet in choppy and confusing me. I’m looking forward to Fubar2 coming soon, and I’m looking forward to catching up on your latest vids I haven’t seen yet. Did you make it up as far as the Ram last summer?

@Rymo780
hahaha, looks the same but it’s not. I believe fubar was filmed on a section of the Elbow River down from the falls, which is now closed to fishing.

Maple is an Aussie Shepherd from the good folks at Southram Outfitters.(google them). They have created the perfect fly fishing dog, great with cattle too! Quite the bloodline of dogs they have up there.

Can I ask exactly what model Sony HD?
I would like to pick one up for all-around activities (skiing, fishing, kids-sports).

Schweeeeeeet! Bully chasing cutts in emerald green water w/Mapes scramblin’ alongside the Humblefisherman . . . . good stuff dude. As you already know, your life is better than my vacation! Thanks for another great post and another brief escape to the wilds of Alberta – 5 stars! – trouttrek

I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. We are fortunate beyond words.

it’s not very often that we keep fish, i can honestly say, eveyr fish featured in the series was released. I sometimes keep trout from the odd mountain lake but usually eat alot of Jerky instead.
