Polaris Flies video shows how someone can use an item that they may have -zonker tape – to help get a Glow-in-the-Dark EMT Foam (or any foam). This fly can be a slow sinker, to get noticed by a fast approaching bonefish, or Boogie right Down to the bottom in wait for one that is coming in slowly searching. While Holographic and Embossed Pearlescent Boogie Tapes are just coming out of the R&D testing stages at POLARIS FLIES, they will soon should be available in many colors for these flies and others. It looks like they will revolutionize spoon fly designs also, but that will be another presentation later on the NEW FLIES NETWORK. www.1a-fly-fishing.com!

Polaris Flies video shows that like the magicians Penn and Teller who revel magicians top secrets, here is one trick with eyes that will greatly increase you’re tying them in. This trick makes tying eyes faster, quicker and stronger. Unfortunately most fly tying writers have never trained under a professional tier. Reveled here for the first time is the way old time commercial tiers tied eyes in for speed and strength. Try timing a dozen of the “figure 8″ tying method, than a dozen this way for yourself. I learned this back in the 80′s form an old commercial tier from the pacific northwest, where eyes are almost a necessity to get down to the steelhead and salmon.
NEWFLIES video shows this short video in which Tim Caillouet, owner of POLARIS FLIES, reveals to the world some of the TOP SECRET materials he has created of the last 16 years and has put into the Nuclee-r TOP SECRETS Fly Tying Video. Tim will share freely with everyone these and other tying tricks he has developed over the years, at the Top Secret Nuclee-r Research Facility in Los Ala-Moose, Alaska. Revealed the DVD is how you can blend the NEW FLY TYING MATERIALS and his other creations with each other, or items you probably have in your fly tying outfits. He teases the viewer of this quick video with such upcoming attractions to youtube, such as how to use an ordinary foam pencil grip to make a “real” pencil popper for fresh and saltwater species. Never having been too artistic, Tim has developed attractive flies with his original tying materials that even “Homer Simpson’s” like himself can easily and quickly use to tie flies, jigs and lures.
Polaris Flies video will easily take one through tying a fantastically iridescent baby bunker (assuming you are a tier — or practice Tying 101 and 102 some. This can easily be used for fresh and saltwater baitfish imitations. While I leave the final color choices of NEW Fly Tying Materials to you, POLARIS FLIES goes into many details. As youtube has a 10 minute time limit, I was forced to trim some off of the front to upload, and this might happen again until they get their director feature fixed. Remember to put a SMALL amount of super glue on the thread, as multi-layered materials are slick. This prevents some spinning of the materials on completion. Here again, remember not too much superglue! Many materials won’t dye, as they don’t really absorb water, they will suck up petrol-chemicals.
Fly fishing for pike in Ontario, Canada is one of the highlights of our year. Lake Esnagi produces some monster pike, but the window to chase these fish in the shallows can be short. This year the spring was cold and slow coming and the big fish weren’t up on the flats till the last two days of the trip. But when it was on, it was really on.
