nope, i caught a few up in tampa, i’ve also had a few good tarpon in san luis pass TX, i’ve actually caought a few over 100lbs off the bridge at san luis last year. they’re all over the gulf and southern atlantic coast but the best fishing is at boca grande pass in the keys
